National Library Week, April 4 – 10, 2021, is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support. From free access to books and online resources for families to library technology centers that help support communities in need of computer and internet access, libraries offer opportunity to all. The theme for 2021 National Library Week is “Welcome to Your Library.”
During National Library Week, Baldy’s Barbecue and Catering will have their food truck on the parking lot for National Library Workers Day, Tuesday, April 6 starting at 11am. Stop by for lunch and help us celebrate our staff. During the pandemic, library workers continue to exceed their communities’ demands and adapt resources and services to meet their users’ needs during challenging times. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer endless opportunities to transform lives through education and lifelong learning. Also during the week, the Children’s Department will be featuring a Great Book Character Hunt and there will be a prize drawing sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
