In order to promote access to the Internet, mobile Wi-Fi hotspots are available to borrow from the Centralia Regional Library District. A hotspot may be checked out by any CRLD cardholder, 18 years of age or older, whose card is in good standing. Checkout is restricted to one per household as multiple devices can connect to the internet at the same time through one hotspot.
Hotspots circulate for a period of 21 days. They must be checked out in person in the Computer Lab at the Centralia Regional Library District. We ask that the hotspots be returned to the computer lab and not in the book drop or at other libraries. Each hotspot unit circulates in a case with a USB Type C Power Adaptor. The user is responsible for returning all of these items in good condition. If the hotspot, power adaptor, or case is returned damaged, the user will be responsible for the cost of replacement. If the unit is lost, stolen or not returned, the borrower will be assessed a replacement fee, per Centralia Regional Library District’s circulation policies.
Performance of the hotspot will vary depending upon location and T-Mobile coverage in the area. Check T-Mobile coverage for your address here: www.tmobile.com/coverage T-Mobile does not guarantee a working connection for game systems, TVs, or non-T-Mobile phones or tablets.
Be advised that the hotspots are an open wireless connection and the Library is not responsible for information accessed using this device or for personal information shared over the Internet. Hotspot users are encouraged to follow safe Internet practices. Hotspot users should refrain from online activity that violates federal, state, or local laws.
