Ready, set, library! National Library Week is April 7–13, 2024, and Centralia Regional Library District encourages everyone in the community to visit the library to take part in the week’s Virtual Library Crawl and Spirit Week activities and to receive daily prizes while exploring all the library has to offer.
Virtual Library Crawl:
Take a virtual crawl through library websites across the world! Visit 9 library websites (3 local, 3 U.S., 3 world) to complete your library passport. When you submit your completed passport, you’ll score free early admission into our next Friends of the Library Used Book Sale! Get your passport here.
Spirit Week Activities:
Sunday, April 7: Sharing Sunday – Share a social media post about the Library!
Monday, April 8: Mentioning Monday – Mention your favorite TV series, movie, or book that you enjoy checking out when you visit the Library!
Tuesday, April 9: National Library Workers Day/True Love Tuesday – Show some love to your favorite library staff member(s)! Consider nominating them for a Library Star award or an Illinois Library Association Award.
Wednesday, April 10: National Library Outreach Day/Work Outside Wednesday – Reach out to your friends and family and share the Library’s resources with someone who hasn’t visited the Library!
Thursday, April 11: Tour-It Thursday – Never been to Centralia Regional Library District or haven’t seen all of it? Get a free tour!
Friday, April 12: Free Time Friday – Have an extra minute of our day? Visit the Library!
Saturday, April 13: Shelfie Saturday – Come on in and take a “shelfie” in the Library, then post it online. Tag us @centralialibrary on Facebook and Instagram!
