Food and Beverage Policy

No food or beverages are allowed in the Computer Lab.
Covered beverages are permitted in most library study areas but are not permitted in the bookshelves when browsing or retrieving items.
Lidded containers include covered coffee, water, soda, and juice cups, glass and plastic beverage bottles. Consuming beverages from open non-lidded containers is prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted unless previously approved by the Board of Trustees.
Beverage containers and waste must be removed from study areas and disposed of in trash or recycling bins in a timely manner. Study areas should be left clean. Alert library staff to spills.
Users not complying with these guidelines will be reminded of the policy and asked to leave if they are unwilling to comply.
Interpretation of these guidelines is at the discretion of library staff.
These privileges may be revoked if abused.
Other food and beverages are only allowed in the library when provided by library staff for special programs.
